[UPI News] – ALIAGA, Turkey, Aug. 13 (UPI) — Two people died from exposure to toxic fumes after the boat from “The Love Boat” was damaged during its final voyage in Turkey, the boat’s owner said.Izmir Ship Recycling Co., the firm that recently bought the ship for $3.33 million, said the former Love Boat had just completed its final voyage Saturday when it was damaged while entering the port of Aliaga.The ship took on water and engine-exhaust buildup led to toxic exposure to eight people on board the ship, the company said. Two people died and six were injured. The six were treated and released from the hospital, Izmir said. It was not reported if the victims were passengers or workers on the boat.
