[UPI News] – DAMASCUS, Syria, Sept. 16 (UPI) — Turkey‘s air force shot down a Syrian helicopter after repeated warnings that it was in violation of Turkish airspace, military officials said.Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc said warplanes dispatched from Malayta air base engaged a Syrian M-17 helicopter Monday after Turkish officials said it had flown into Turkey for more than a mile. Arinc said pilots issued warnings to the Syrians to leave the area before firing a missile.The helicopter eventually crashed in Syrian territory, Dogan News Agency said.….
